Another travel option is to fly into Ontario, CA. In 1999, a friend and I flew out of Nashville into Ontario (cheaper out of Nashville) and rented a car to drive in to Pepperdine to visit her brother. If I recall correctly it was a nice drive of about 1 hour or so to get to LA. Ontario was a really nice city, and it was easy to get around.
Just throwing it out there for those that to avoid LAX and want a shorter drive than Pheonix.

As a teenager that has watched the glamour of LA and beaches and beautiful girls on TV, I am sure that it looks much better than little ole Knoxville, TN. While I think UT should recruit this guy and others like heck, I also think that if a kid decides that he wants to try the excitment of the west coast (P. Turner), there isn't really anything that UT can say that will put a beach and movie stars at our back door. It isn't until they get there that they realize that it isn't as grand as it was made out to be (again, P. Turner).

Like someone else said, I think there are fewer DTs out there and every school is going all out to recruit them, so either they are eating up the attention or really are having a hard time deciding. I think UT will end up with their share with the final push by Fulmer.

Workin - so far Bama has paid out the nose (and other body orifices) for a coach that hasn't delivered on anything but recruiting classes which you have been quick to point out means nothing. If he doesn't do better than .500 this year and the fans there are still kissing his, um, past championship ring, they are dumber than even I thought.

invisible - I have heard about Adams "press tour" but I haven't actually heard what was said. While I support UT and Fulmer I really didn't order the orange koolaid Big Gulp until this article. Hearing audio from Bama would probably make be order a lifetime supply.
It just amazes me that people outside the program that don't have all the facts think they can run it better than people who stake their careers and lives on it.

TJ - I think the problem is that if you take out the past Vols from the previous article, you are basically taking out a major argument and Adams attempt to show a pattern of neglect to discipline on Fulmer's part. Without the past stuff the article would just be a state of the program article that no one could really argue about. By inserting the past Vols, Adams made himself appear irrational and basically discounted his whole argument.
Outrageous statements make rational people question the whole message.

You know what gets me about all of this? He probably wouldn't even make the top 3 and get to go to the Olympics. How many sprinters repeat as world's fastest at the Olympics? He is 4 years older. Even if they let him participate in the trials he probably won't make the cut.
Let him go to the track trials and see if he can make it and continue with the court proceedings. If he does make the cut, but it doesn't work out with his appeal, send an alternate. You know they have got to have those anyway in case of injury. If he fails to make the cut then he got his chance and everything is moot anyway.

I saw her for the first time this weekend at Elite Camp. She was impressive.

The comment at the end on Brian Williams is a little misleading. This morning on the radio they said that they spoke to UT staff that said Brian Williams was urged not to play because he had a strain in the weight room that needed to heal. I guess he still could have showed up, but he might not have wanted to answer all of the inevitable questions.
