This young man is very underated.He runs a 4.5 and benches in the 320 range.If we lock him up, and grab 4* Jerod Askew, we will be in good shape at LB for yr's to come.Here's something Askew said recently:
Tennessee is hoping to lure Askew a bit to the southwest.
"That's a linebacker school right there," he said. "They said they lost some linebackers and need some bigger ones, so that may be a good fit for me."
My favorite DT out there is Darrington Sentimore out of (LA).I have maintained that we have a solid shot b/c of playing time and he confirmed that again recently.
Sentimore:"It's the same with LSU; I'm not going to go there just because they are nearby. I've got to find the right place for me."
There is one clear cut way for a school to make a lasting impression upon his decision.
"Playing time will be a factor, and I don't know much outside of that," he said. "I'm not really worried about who a school has put out and stuff. I still have to do the work and prove I've got the talent to be one of those guys.

The only one that shouldn't be enrolled by fall is Montori Hughes.I am not sure whether or not he is going Juco or the Hargrave route.I would prefer Hargrave, b/c we need him in 09'.

I went into TDTN's office the other day to get my itinerary together.He was passed out w/ a mason jar in his hand mumbling something about hunting wolverines so I just left him a note.Here's was my agenda and how it went.
1.I heard Saban extended an offer to Tennessee fan ,Curtis King 6'3 275lb DT, after he attended camp.I knew Saban didn't need DT's so I decided to go to Memphis and visit w/ Mr.King.After the usuall chit chat I said "son ,do you love the orange?"He said yes sir I do.I said, then welcome aboard.(I didn't tell him I based the offer on Nick's eval)
2.I knew we needed immediate help for 09' so I flew out to cal and visited w/ Akiem Hicks and Edwin Herbert.We went to lunch (they paid for their own)at a restaurant of my choosing, and it just so happened that Gibril Wilson & Jesse Mahelona were eating there too.They were wearing UT hats and everything.Wow what a coincidence.The visit went well and both said we are #1 right now.
3.I head Hakeem Worthen was back in town from vacation ,so I flew back in and drove over to South Doyle to take a peak.He was big, quick,and threw up a top 5 sparq score.

He has some academic things to work out ,but it looks like he is pulling it together so I offered.He has always wanted to play for UT and immediately said yes.
4.I called Workin to give him the news , and I asked if he wanted me to back of so we didn't scare off some of the other big name DT's.He said HELL NO!If their afraid of competition then we don't want em.I then said, what about invisiblekid's buzzard package, and he said ,we'll just have to scrap it.Where's he at coach?He said , he's gone getting refills on growlers, we'll wait till he gets plowed to tell him.
5.Went and met tngeoff at the Crows Nest lounge and informed him we had a couple of DT commits.He got up and gave me a bear hug and said "thank god I thought I was out of a job."

Richt better be very carefull.These events remind me of events surrounding a certain sure fire title contending team going into 05'..

Navalorange , 1 condition.I would like to bring KingsportVol aboard as a graduate assistant/director of HS relations.Someone has to help me keep up w/ the 80 DT's I will offer a scholorship.

sjt18 ,When he and his parents visit in 2 wks he's a Vol.Foster, Phillips, and Schofield will get atleast a look at DT.Have you seen Schofield's video?That kid hits w/ bad intentions.

invisiblekid , I've seen it.Man, can you imagine how mad he would get if one of his guys got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and it wasn't after a score.

We just don't need Mr.Hunter at this point.Unfortunately the only 2 offers he has where I think he has a chance to play is Oklahoma St and Kentucky.
By the way VQ has reported that Akiem Hicks, the big 6'6 300lb Juco DT, has us in his top 2 w/ Oregon.
