perhaps you guys know more than is pertained in this article. Certainly I would not advocate a gang-style beatdown on the man. From what I read, I didn't get that. During my jr yr, we had a kid from Miami who was causing issues and we took care of it. Although unpleasing to the player, it certainly did not consist of violent beatings...and the situation resolved itself. That was my only point.

Like it or not, that's what happens on teams with good leadership. If you get out on that limb of individualism, team leaders will reel you back in. If you still don't listen, they will get your attention. Sounds like he didn't like the attention. That's the way it should work. Too much is made about coaches responsibility. Good team leaders trump any need for coaches to babysit 20 yr. old men.

dontcallitacomeback, it would help if you knew what the heck you were discussing. Coach Fulmer's avoidance a few years back had absolutely nothing to do with the lawsuit to which he has now been served a subpoena. I love how you say that Bama fans have moved on, YET you find yourself here posting on the Knoxville News-Sentinel. Although I agree with you that the depo, if ever given, will not be until after the season, I assure you that the substance of any testimony will have nothing to do with the pending lawsuit. Alabama cheated. Fulmer, Spurrier, Saban and many others confirmed it. Alabama admitted it. That pretty much sums it up!!

Good Lord, just when you thought our town paper could not fall any further below the credibility level. This is trash reporting at its worst which unfortunately has become commonplace at the KNS. I am truly embarrassed by this. Does this garbage actually sell more papers or advertisements? A fellow lawyer once told me that as long as they are talking about you, good or bad, it's good publicity. I didn't agree with the concept then, nor do I believe it now. KNS=disgrace.
