The Martin bomb in the Memphis game was not during the 98 season. It was in 99, the season after. That was the last game before the SEC champ. this year they wore all orange. As far as some breaks, you need them. Look at LSU last year, WVU had to lose or they don't get in. How many teams can lose their last regular season game and still play for the NC. FL had more breaks for them happen in 2006 then TN did in 98.

Stallworth redshirted in 98. He played the role of Peter Warrick during fiesta bowl practices. He was a redshirt Jr. when he left in 01. John Henderson was also listed here, but I don't think he received a ring. I think he didn't qualify academically his first year.

It didn't take 5 days when I was in school to get a test grade back. This guy will only be around for this season if he gets through this class. He will be on the bowl non participate list due to grades. I can't believe that after all he has been through it still comes down to the week before kick off to see if he can play. I feel bad for the young man because he wants to play so bad.

I've never seen a coaching staff talk as bad about a football team as this bunch. This team will try to prove the coaches wrong or they will lose all confidence and not win a game. I still don't buy all the doom and gloom.

How long does it take to get a grade for a test taken Monday? I haven't got good vibes about Williams. Even if he does qualify for this season, he will be one that doesn't make a bowl game due to academics. Even with all the time he has taken to get to this point, he still needs to pass 1 class. Nothing like waiting until the last minute.. How many years did he have to prepare for this??

More doom and gloom coming from the UCLA camp. I don't think they will be as bad as everyone thinks. From some of their coaches comments they probably shouldn't even field a team this year. Are they really starting a community college transfer at QB? We all know how backup QB's fair against UT, hopefully they will reverse the trend. By the way dtaylor, who is Vincent? Is that a new DB.

Are those game times 100% correct? There is nothing listed on CBS website about their college football schedule for the year. The only ones I have seen confirmed gametimes for are UCLA, UAB, and the 2 PPV games. Other than the FL game which is usually the CBS opener, they wait until the week before in most cases to decide the 3:30 game.

Fullback has been a big part of TN offense and we just haven't had it the last few years. During the 98 run, Shawn Bryson would just move some people out of there. Of course we had more talented RB's then, but I believe our guys now would benefit from a Bryson laying some hats to the LB's.

Hefney was exciting as a freshman and pretty solid as a junior. Not sure what happened during his senior year, but he was timid and was a step slow. Did he do anything other than fair catch or waive his arms and let the ball bounce last year on punt returns? With the youth in the secondary he was just not aggressive last year.

This game was played 3 days ago. Shouldn't the coaches not sulk about it and move on? You have to show some leadership and correct the mistakes that were made, not sulk about it for days. Hopefully they are still not talking about UCLA next week when preparing to play UAB. Move forward and correct what went wrong. A win over FL will make everyone forget this loss. Now, if the same TN team shows up they will get blown out by FL. I just can't see these kids not getting fired up to play a conference rival that blew them out last year. They will come to play and hopefully knock Tebow around some. Maybe Gerald Williams can help us at LB starting with UAB.
