Nunes is a highly athletic and intelligent player as judged from his test scores and things we already know about him. Im sure he would advise any skill players on offense of the virtues of being a Vol but once again he is VERY INTELLIGENT. He knows we could use some DT and DE help, if you dont think one of our own commitments knows that youre sorely wrong. He understands those needs could be the difference between him winning a NC in a few years or just going to a BCS bowl or SEC championship. I think he would call and advise any defensive players he thought could help that UT might be a good fit. This kid is really sharp. The vast majority of the big time recruits know each other no matter which side of the ball they are on , i know this from experience. He probably assocaites just as much with DT as he does say OL's or RBs. Obviously he was going to WR camps and QB camps. My point is just because he is a QB has no bearing on the defensive talent he could bring along to UT. GO VOlS
On Rogers is close to decision; Nunes helping recruit for Vols

I have seen William Ming play , and he is FAR from a beast. He will be a solid player with the same "ole" , weight room workouts. Im not shedding too much sleep over this one capstone , let me know when he warrants the name "beast" in college or when he warrants my retraction of this comment. Personally i dont see it coming. Good luck this year with that going .500 thing. Tennessees in state talent and Alabamas is a litte different , thats why its even more sad that we barring a few exceptions wail on you and are the better program right now , because we get the vast majority of our recruits out of state , by luring them away from the " Faded Glamour" of schools like Bama.

Workin , right , it wasnt Hannon , it was Fayton on 4th and 19. He wasnt really in the "trees" either , pretty much he came wide open.

I think Crompton is a solid player , not so sure hes even close to garnering comparisons to Heath Shuler at all though. He will struggle some , thats probably his biggest downfall is that intensity and attitude. Hes got to keep it in check and not get carried away because we all know that leads to turnovers and bad decisions. As long as he understands his ability and what he can do he should be fine. Thats what was great about Ainge that people dont realize , he never forced the issue , always gave us another shot , he knew what he could do and what throws he could make. Never tried to be more than what he was. I think in that sense Crompton could take a page from E Ainge. He is MORE mobile than Ainge and Clausen but lets not get carried away either , i wouldnt exactly say hes got so called "legs". Hes def no burner , hes not gonna get ya 75 yards rushing a game , he might pick up 3 or 4 here and there when otherwise we get nothing but thats about it. By no means is he going to be running the football much. Im not sure which play he ran over a DB in that game , i must have missed it but id stray away from that kind of thing too. All we need is him getting his head knocked off in the first game trying to prove something to everyone. We all know he is capable of good things and now its his turn , as long as he doesnt have that "Ill show you what youve been missing out on" chip i believe he will excell by next year. Hopefully he will harness that intensity to the right areas and lead us to some good things this and next year.

Last great leader we had there was Tee?????? Dude , youve lost your marbles. He wasnt even really the leader of that team , look to the other side of the ball. I would think Clausen and even E Ainge were in a much bigger leadership role than Tee. That was a comment based solely on the fact that he won a NC. If he was the true leader on that team we dont win a NC. Simple as that.

Steve, i agree its obvious you werent a college grad. Its inexcuseably obvious that you didnt go to UT. If you did i bet you lived on the 9th floor of North Carrick and never ventured below say floor 4. haha jk. My point is that college is about football and beer. Maybe some education tossed in there too haha once again jk. Thats the name of the game , i know from only graduating a few years back the school spirit the college kids have is enuormous. They simply love their VOLS. Thats why college kids do , they tailgate have fun , drink and watch football. They have the same right to enjoy themselves as you , probably even more of a right. If you dont like your seats then i suggest some nose bleed options instead of directly beside the student section. I think everyone knows without the student section and so called "young adults" at these games it would be a joke. Half of the noise and energy comes from that section alone.
