I believe the only team that couldn't beat UT but still won the SECCG was bama '99.
'01 LSU lost to Tennnessee in the regular season, but in the Championship Game... grumble, grumble.

RockyMtnVol-- used cars, huh? Bill Battle makes more money with his collegiate licensing business than most Div 1 A coaches make today.
Bigfan502-- '85 Sugar Bowl, '89 Cotton Bowl, '90 Sugar Bowl, and '91 Fiesta-- sounds like more than one major bowl invite to me.

Great article as always, Mr. Julian.

Actually, I meant to say "The five-game suspension sounds like a sufficient response by Fulmer"-- when coupled with the legal penalties Britton has to face.

Didn't John Adams say that this was his fifth offense?
The five-game suspension sounds sufficient to me for a first-offense DUI.

Fulmer can't even win the "Fulmer Cup"-- he never has. There's always some other team with worse offenders, and more of them. It wouldn't be named the "Fulmer Cup" if it wasn't a bama fan who came up with the idea for the dubious distinction.

ETNTigerFan-- I wasn't referring to you-- I was referring the "Overrated" guy.

While I like your suggestions for guest speaker, GreerVol22, I disagree with your comment about no one listening to the guest speaker. I really enjoyed hearing the two most-recent speakers at the GKSHOF dinners-- Peyton Manning and Chad Pennington.
As someone who moved to Cincinnati in '75, I'm really looking forward to seeing Johnny Bench speak this year. (I'm fairly sure he's the reason 5th Third bank is a major sponsor of the event this year, btw, and the money goes to a great cause.)
