Crompton held the ball too long.

Is 41 throws the most a 'rookie QB making his first start in 2 years ever thrown in an opener for UT?

The running back were running well.

The line blocked well for the runnning game.

Run the ball, win the game.

Assanine game plan, or lack thereof.

On New alignment not part of Vols' problems

Sorry Vol123e2424NC.....

I have seen us fold ten too many times down the stretch the last 5 years to accept this.

We lost to an inferior team because of poor strategy and play calling.....

Your QB can't hit the broad side of the barn and you have a 10 pt lead late in the 3rd quarter (and otherwise),,,, your O line and RBs have been pounding the ball all night, what do you do??

Run the ball? No, pass it twice as many times...

Your O has put the D on the field for the majority of the second half,,,, what do you do?? Throw the short stuff and run it to get a couple of first downs? No, send it down field to Austin "I dropped it again" Rogers...

You have a slim lead and one of the most highly touted secondaries in the nation. UCLA is driving the ball at will at the end of the game via short underneath routes....

What do you do? Roll up the DB's and get pressure on the QB?

No, play a mild 10 (more like 15) yard buffer all the way to the back of your end zone, rushing 4 ineffective down linemen.

You take the lead late in the game against a UCLA passing attack that has been riddling you all second half....

What do you do with the kick off?

Send it deep and give your pourous secondary enough room to have as much yardage to give as possible?

NO, pooch kick it and give UCLA the ball on the 40 yard line (see UGA 2002).

THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE AND A SHAMEFUL PERFORMANCE FOR ANYBODY WEARING ORANGE.

On Chavis' goal for defense: Learn to finish

This a 4 year ongoing correction for Chavis....

His D hasn't been able to put away teams for years.

Much of it does have to do with the offenses inability to perform in the 3rd quarter and get first downs.

Regardless, the D's collapse was rediculous. I was ashamed to be a Tennessee fan.

If anyone should of been at practice in full today it was #1 Daniel Lincoln

and

#2 Jonothan Crompton.

As a B on Wide Receiver....

Include Tight Ends..

They Dropped around at least 6, on the rare times Crompton got it in their hands.....

Warren looked terrible, this whole team needs to step it up.

I hope they realize how horribly they played.

That was a disgrace top to bottom...

PS, I aint no 'Yungin'.....

Not someone infamiliar with the program...

etc...

This one, I wanted to puke....

All critique' from me and others is warranted.'

You like rooting/losing to UCLA, become a Stanford or Oregon fan...

FYI, we lost in a 3/4 sold out stadium occupied by 1/4 Tennessee fans...

Need help with the math,,, drop a line....

Peeeeaaaassss Poor......

Only 2 things wrong with the football team....

Crompton's mouth working better than his arm...

And Dumb Arse Play calling per Crompton Playing with his head up his 'sun don't shine'.

This is a game that we would of won by 3 touchdowns if we handed the ball off every time. Not what I want, but we were blowing them off the ball.

Just like years past, lean on your D too often and the well runs dry.....

O' Coaching and Special Teams get a full F, as in failure.

LOTS of room for improvement....

I was at the game, even though the D played well, every time we took the field shoulders were slouched and everyone walked on and off.

This is the first time I have ever been to a game and felt ashamed of my team.

Way to not represent boys.

That stunk, and I am being kind.

Phil, I was loyal, as for now, your head is on the block.

Oh, and Crompton Fans,, can we get Ainge back or start G.Jones at QB?

His tail was more worthless in the pocket or until a play broke down than Ainge and he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Yes, a call out.

Great effort, until the final fold, by the Defense.....

POS Circus Show.. I won't be seeing any more this season unless things get better quick.

I thought that was Fred Dryer.

Oh, wait. You are right, "Hunter".... Great show.

From the looks, a great 'big name no game' opener for the Vols and should grow some confidence.

Past that, if the team (VOLS) gets a big head and doesn't go out and dominate,,,,,,, Trouble.

See You there,

GO VOLS, I'll hang up and listen to Ya'.

On Low expectations, high hopes for UCLA

Tennessee uses a lottery to help fund its education system.

Last time I checked, it was the folks that didn't have $100 extra dollars spending $101 dollars on lottery tickets.

Obviously preying on the less well heeled.

If you have a problem with this guy, then you better carry your fight to the rest of the State of Tennessee Board of Education and the lawmakers.

Get over it.
