Sure nice to know that those two eighth and ninth graders can make a decision on their futures before their voice changes.I am sure they are mature enough at that age to make an educated choice but probably still need their mommies to tuck them in at bedtime.Nice move there Billy G.

vol_in_lsu_land: I don't know the number of kids out of West Tennessee that end up in Knoxville, but we have had quite a bit of quality players come from West Tennessee. Examples: Chad Clifton, Justin Harrell, Al Wilson, Will Offenheusle, Jabari Greer, Chris Donald, the Cottam brothers, etc. These are just recent players. Don't look so much at numbers as at the quality of the athletes that come from West Tennessee. You mention "loyalty"-there are plenty of high school players that would love to play at UT, but they're not offered or recruited. Patrick Willis was one that wanted to go to UT but we didn't offer (and he ended up in the NFL as a first-round draft pick). Most kids in West Tennessee would love to play for UT, but for whatever reason, they end up at other schools because UT doesn't offer them.

UTvols12342000-Sounds like Holland is the right place for you if you are a pothead.Unfortunately what goes on over there has nothing to do with university policy regarding atheletes.Play by the rules or leave-it's that simple.
On Crews and Ramar Smith dismissed; violation of substance abuse policy and academics were factors

I know we will miss Parker and the rest of the seniors next year, but I predict Bobbitt will be the hardest to replace. Her intesity is contagious and we she plays her game,we really click.Great 1st half D girls--keep it up!

Right on plasticman. That was the point I was trying to make. His game needs to be polished to be a legitimate NBA player. So many guys come out to early, get a big contract, and are soon out of the league.Be smart Tyler, you need to show the scouts a more overall game.Guys with your size and game(right now),will be eaten up in the NBA.

Point guard is the key to next season. If Ramar can return to his freshman form, then we'll be tough. He must work on his shooting and decision making,(play under control!)I hope the West kid is as good as advertised, but he'll be learning as he goes.Tyler, make the right decision:stay one more year and hone your game for the NBA.

Davidray31:As far as an older star I would compare Tyler to Adrian Dantley.Dantley was probably a little heavier than Tyler and about 6'5 or 6'6,but had the moves from 10 to 15 feet that remind me of Tyler.
As for a player today,I think his game is comparable to Stackhouse or maybe Corey Brewer. Can't think of too many of today's stars like Tyler. He needs to develop his outside shot a little more to be compared to guys his size like Gay,Pierce,Josh Howard, and others who can hit the long jumper or muscle inside for their shots.

ImAllVol-You are probably right,NCAA should do something about it.I think it is a bad thing because no matter how good a kid is,he dosen't know what to do at that age.By the way, most parents are involved in the decision making about their childs' future as a high school senior, much less an eighth grader.
