WOW, Slade you are a bigger idiot than I thought. You are just another UT coach who refuses to make adjustments during a game. Every long pass attempted by UCLA was intercepted. Think Chow was going to try that again? HUH? Make the opponent beat you, put the pressure on the QB, instead we just lay down and give two staight drives. We should fire this idiot right now!!!

On Crompton suffered concussion in fourth quarter against UCLA

Like most of you, except hcjournal, I'm very upset with this game. It ranks right up there with the Memphis State, Penn State and Vandy losses. If you are looking for a good sign, then it was the tackling by the defense. Heck, even "I like to fumble" Foster had a good tackle on Crompton! We probably tackled better in this game than anytime last year. There were very few yards after the catch and we were strong against the run. How is that for a positive! Coaching on the otherhand was unacceptable.

My daughter graduated from Liberty Benton and the men's coach Steve Williman is really good. He coached in the small college circuit but really loves High School. Every year LB is in the state playoffs. The only downside is that the competition in the Blanchard Valley Conference is not very strong. Coach Williman could easily be a top assistance for any SEC coach. He is that good. The Football team is already 2-0 and the Craft brothers are the stars. Both great athletes.

Fulmer lost his edge in the 2001 SEC Champ Game and has never recovered. I just hope some informed writers in K-Town are taking good notes. I want to read the book titled " Rise and Fall of Tennessee Football-The Fulmer Era" with the forward written by Johnny Majors.

This will be a best seller.

Crompton is also 0-3 as a starter. We are doomed.

sjt18, we have not discussed Fulmer in a while. It has been a challenge to calm Touchdown Tennessee down. That game last night really has changed my thoughts about Fulmer. I thought he was turning things around from the 2005 season but the performance last night was unacceptable. I'm in the "We need a change" camp. I can't possibly wish for us to lose more games to get rid of Fulmer, just can't do that, but I can't accept this performance either. Fulmer wants support but he is bringing all this hatred on himself. That was not a legitimate D1 program on that field last night.

98reax, your argument would hold water if this was a casual sport. It is not. These guys spend nearly every waking hour focused on football. The players are getting free educations for their ability to play this sport. Obviously, our coaches let them down bigtime but they share responsibility too. It is all about winning. All of the money and effort that UT receives is not about being good sportmen. It is about doing your job and winning football games. If you are not doing your job, I would hope your boss would council with you.

All Fulmer and Vicky want is money and more of it. I can't believe, he will not take responsibility for this. What will be the phrase of this year? He has used up the perfect storm.

He was TOTALLY out coached last night. I'm sure Hamilton will take notice.

Crompton was close to a 50% completion rate in all of the practices. As stated earlier, the number one concern was his ability to move us 80 yards on a drive. What a bust!..and how about the brilliant play calling of forcing him to throw 41 times!!! What a joke we are!! Thanks Fulmer, You deserve all the heat for this one!
