The so-called epitome of sports is rife with bias
and is corrupted just like every other facet of our society. If you can't win with your team, buy some officials who are for sale and willing to take something under the table.
What is worse, they ignore the same 'infraction' on the team with the payoff.

When I read about the opinion of 'the experts', I remember the tackle from Georgia Tech who was selected as pre-season All American, then made the second team but never started a single game and played sparingly.
The kns crew has to insert some disparagement in every article they print, That is apparently a part of their job description. Just wish Hamilton had the ba]]s to keep them away from the athletes.

A typical situation. When a tough play is needed, call on a Lady Vol. When they want a showboat for headlines, call on somebody else.
It has been like that for years.

I knew there must be something about this guy when he said Curt Watson couldn't carry his jock strap. Couldn't think of a reason the Crossville Comet would've wanted to, either. Fulmer should have kept a closer eye on him over the years, too, since the gayters didn't.

Could this have been reverse recruiting by the VOLS?

Turbofan, I believe you have misstated Gameclock Kesling's credentials. He is from Ohio, but attended Tennessee. I have seen his picture in Orange and White football uniform, but have found no record of him playing.

As to bias, look at the 98 game with the hogs.
They were ahead in the score. The VOLS held on downs, their punter muffed the snap and kicked the ball thru the endzone from the 8-yard line.
That was a mistake; instead of penalizing the hogs for the foul and giving the VOLS the ball on the four yard line, the sec gave us a safety.
The hogs held, the Vols punted and the hogs were moving until Billy Ratliff knocked their all america guard into stoerner who stumbled and lost the ball. Billy then recovered the fumble and Travis took it home and won the game.
To compound their mistake, the sec assigned the same crew to the game with the hogs at their home in 99. The score was very near the same in the last few minutes and the VOLS had the ball near the goal line and on 4th down, the sec didn't call an obvious hold on Cedric Wilson in the end zone and kept him from making the catch that would have won the game and given us another chance at the championship game. Dickey didm't have the ba}}s to make them change the crew.
The media has always emphasized the 'good fortune' of Tennessee in getting the fumble and dismissed the stellar play of the team in making the breaks that gave us the win.

The caliber of this article fits the caliber of the writers who put it together.
They are not paid to write articles about the VOLS ubless the articles are derogatory.
