A disappointing end to a great season. We played terrible but Louisville had a lot to do with that. Louisville is just a better team with a better coach. But I didn’t think we'd get hammered like we did. Pitino had our offense so mixed up we didn’t know whether we were coming or going. And I still say the J.P. experiment was the wrong move given the point of the season.
Before the season began I said I would be disappointed if we didn’t make the Elite Eight. And I am. Obviously, an SEC title and 31 wins is a great season. But a SEC conference champion should have gone deeper into the tournament. We just got a lousy draw.
Next year (first I hope Bruce returns) I would like to see us change up our defense more. Play more zone, 3 quarter and half court traps. Use more traditional half-court sets along with the flex, which I like. I think a true point guard can remedy our offensive chaos.
It looks like we have a good recruiting class coming in and if Tyler stays we’ll be right back in the thick of things.
But right now it sucks.

Wayne will have to play smart. Be physical but don't foul.
GO VOLS!!

I think the Vols have a lot of intangibles in this game. Underdog, the Lofton angle, manhood check…
Tennessee hasn’t been playing well so I think we’re due. I actually feel better about this game than I did Butler.
Of course, we won that game…

That was rough. The "J.P. Experiment" nearly backfired down the stretch. Overall I thought he played pretty good. I still don't think we're playing really well as a team but we won. With the way Louisville is playing, we'll have to play as well as we can to win.
What was with CBS cutting away to the Georgetown game? The last time with less than 30 seconds left. If I lived in Montana or somewhere, I could understand. But living in the Tennessee market we should get Tennessee from start to finish.
That was annoying.

I know it’s heresy to question Bruce but this a dangerous move at this juncture of the season. Hopefully it works out and if it doesn’t we’ll know by halftime and adjust. One thing though is that J.P. can create matchup problems with his length and athleticism. That’s never a bad thing.
I personally think it’s outrageous that two 30 win teams are playing in the 2nd round. It’s not fair to us or Butler.
Go Vols!!

Survive and advance. But to be outhustled and outrebounded when you're supposedly trying to prove you should have been a # 1 seed...Oh well.
I have to be honest. I don't feel good about playing Butler. Not the way we've played lately and the way Butler played today.
TrailerNation: Where are the Gators again? Oh that's right. In the NIT!

Well my observation would be that Jordan seems to rush his shot quite a bit. I’d like to see him break himself down more before he shoots.
As for Ramar, his mechanics are such that I don’t think he’ll ever be a good shooter. But he can really penetrate. He just needs to find the open man a little better.

LOL. Overrated may be in rare company. He seems to be a record-breaking idiot.

Kwitcherbellyachin 6:41: That's a good point. From 1 to 8 effectively.

Tremendous news! If Tyler stays and we can get some consistent PG play it looks like we'll be pretty strong.
