speaking of favre, I guess you heard that they're going to retire the number four from everything and replace it with . . . one, two, three, favre, five . . .

We're ranked #18 because we're in the SEC and there are 4 teams considered (and, as of now, rightly so) better than us. GA, as 99 said, finished 12-2 and #2 in the country. I still don't see Stafford leading them to a national championship. He'll goof up somewhere. LSU just won the title, and Florida is loaded, including the returning Heisman trophy winner. I also don't have a problem with Auburn being ranked ahead of us. We need to beat a couple of them to earn a higher rank. Right now, #5 in the SEC means about #18 in the country.
BTW, I like 99 (he's welcome here) and I hate McFish, but that's just my opinion . . .
On Vols ranked 18th in coaches' preseason poll; Georgia is No. 1

Fulmer said on Mike & Mike that Vol fans are "spoiled since we won the national championship". I guess wanting to compete every year and beat Florida, Bama, & Georgia as often as possible is just to much to ask . . .

Yeah, it's easy to tell how Peyton is hated in Indy. Go to a game and see the Manning jerseys. Go out on the town and run into him hanging out with the fans, signing autographs, etc. Even go over to his home and see the other Colts he's brought over to entertain. Yeah, they really dislike him there . . .

Joe2724, we will keep the absolute thrashings we've been putting on your pups in football and basketball until you do something about it . . .

UT has turned out one of, if not the, greatest quarterback of all time (it's STILL a GREAT disappointment that Manning didn't get that Heisman), the greatest defensive lineman of all time, Mr. Reggie White (he's be the all time sack leader by quite a bit if he hadn't played for the Memphis Showboats or whatever they were called), and one of the greatest hitters/first baseman (lifetime .329 hitter) of all time just to name a few . . . it's great to be a Tennessee Vol

The Cal Stadium itself was a dump. Also they ran out of drinks at our concession stand by halftime and the restrooms for the upper rows were port-o-potties. Definitely not in a hurry to go back to Berkeley.

Werlosers, you have yet to hang a national championship banner in any sport. We've got them in several. Speaking of one that we have more than one in, it's about football time. Aren't you glad you're not playing us this year? We would KILL you again!!! And by the way, Memphis will never, ever, ever even get mentioned when it comes to football national championships. And we will probably win one in basketball before you do. It comes with having a VASTLY superior athletic department. So take your losing somewhere else. Don't talk about national championships until you win one in SOMETHING!! And if you want to root for Vandy, that's fine too. They DID win a national championship in women's bowling a year ago for their first in any sport. I guess that's one more than Tiger High has . . .
