How can one write an article about the UCLA series without saying a word(except for Beban) about the 1967 game in Memphis with the Swamp Rat as the hero?

Be consistent, ladies! Sloppy play and careless turnovers will come back to haunt you against a more formidable opponent.

For this team to do well, they must play like they on on the court with UCONN every game. Ball protection is all important, keeping those ugly turnovers to a minimum. It should be unacceptable to try to bounce pass through multiple defenders, to try to be too cute passing behind the back etc, and to charge instead of pulling up for short jumpers. Of course, putting the ball in the basket from short range is another story and it appears that little can be done about this issue.
This team can be great, they just need to play that way.

A great win, but this team will not be great until they can play without all those unforced turnovers. Baugh was a pleasant surprise.

The LadyVOLS need to play every game as if they are playing UCONN. To complete their goal they will need to limit their turn overs and prevent those uncontested defensive lapses.

Just think, Bolden critized Ainge and others after the championship game. Now he has let everyone down and should be told about it in no uncertain terms.

Dumb: Inability to react to unexpected onside kick.

Dumber: Senseless penalities in critical situations.

Dumbest: Punting on 4th and 1 in second quarter when defense could not provide a stop and when AL would get the ball to begin 2nd half. This was repeated on 4th and 2 in third quarter. The punts gained only 20-25 yards of field position and, of course, AL could cover this in a flash.

On Adams: Vols right back to where the routs started

It would help if the young receivers were just required to learn all about one receiving position to start with rather than being required to demonstrate proficiency in all receiving positions before they are utilized.
Imagine coming in as a freshman and being required to learn every aspect of four different positions all at once. Most folks would be confused and slow to progress in this scenario.
