This is a great "perspective" article. I love all things UT win or lose.
All of you haters can drop dead.

Something I saw on TV was a little disturbing - Morley got turned inside out by their tight end about three times - really lousy technique. It doesn't matter how athletic the guys are if they play bad tech they will get beat. That being said I know the coaches will see it on film and work it.

The good ship UT is not taking on water just yet. If we win the next two we are back in good shape once again. I know the kids and coaches will work as hard as anyone and they will be ready. I know we are all frustrated but like McNeil said there are still eleven games left. Remember when Peyton got smoked by Florida early and we still wound up 2nd in the country? You just never know until things play out a bit longer. Having a good year is still a very good possibility. The kids just have to believe and do the work.

5-17 on 3rd down means you lose every time, and way too many penalties.
I wish now we had both Cutclife and Ainge back!
I'm proud of the defense as UCLA only rushed for 29 yards.

Calkins is a putz. KNS, I expected better from you. If this is the crap you are going to re-publish then I will stick to the PAY sites which are at least ALL VOL.
To recap:
Urban Meyer came with his heisman winner (lets see, Florida finished 3rd in the East)
Saban showed up with his recruiting #1 recruiting class (Woops, they had to win their last game to avoid a second consecutive losing season)
Mark Richt brought his #1 preseason ranking (Oh yeah, this after getting drilled by UT for the second year in a row. By the way, my high-school team could have beaten Hawaii.)
Les Miles came with tales of his national championship year (If memory serves me right UT was one silly interception away from beating LSU and winning the SEC outright).
I am looking forward to watching UT have a great year and morons like Mr Calkins eat some serious crow.
Oh yeah, I'm also looking forward to a real smackdown in Knoxville later in the year of his paper tigers in BBall.
As they say on the court "Get that weak stuff outta here!"

As long as Pat Summitt and Joan Cronan are in Knoxville we will be the Lady Vols. I think it gives our women's teams a touch of class. There was a time not so long ago when every woman wanted to be a lady. I hope we don't ever lose sight of that.

You must be kidding? How big a fraud is any sport which can ban you for taking cold medicine? Gatlin has done EVERYTHING possible to get reinstated, including acting as a state witness against Trevor Graham, his former coach. The kid was a track superstar in high-school before ever comming to UT. His talent was legit, and he had no need to dope because he already had the goods. I for one say press on and exhaust your legal avenues. At your age once it's over it is really over. Good Luck kid.

On IOC says court ruling won't get Gatlin to Olympics

Coach Fulmer is a great representative of our state and our university. He will most certainly be in the college football hall of fame someday and I hope he finishes his career here. I also hope we can find a little magic one more time before he is done. I look for 08 to be a better year than people think and that we are really only a good D-line away from a GREAT year. Coach you are a class act and I wish you and the boys all the best. GO VOLS!

Wow! Those promotional spots are just embarrassing. I love the lady Vols, and Pat, but the WNBA has an uphill climb, especially when their marketing genus' put out advertising like that. No offense to the ladies and their talent (which is considerable) but those spots make me want to watch Jeopardy instead. The women's game in college is just so much more fun, and passionate. It does the women a disservice to not have their pro game promoted any better than that.
Oh well, only 3-1/2 months till football season......sigh
