I hope Crompton makes goats out of all you naysayers.
I, for one, see it as a positive that someone outside of TN sees him as a potential All Am.
Why be a neghead about the kid being on a watch list? How about being proud for him?
Go Vols, I hope every single player achieves beyond anyones wildest expectations!

LargeO: Of course, the discussions I was referring to involved folks like us talking about the state of the program and its administration.
The posters here who are loyal to UT (pro Fulmer or not) provide some excellent insights that have a lot of merit. Adams, for better or worse, has stimulated some of these discussions.
It is never a positive for UT to have someone like Adams spewing his venom where it could affect others perspectives of our great school and its programs. We can only hope that all of our other outlets of info, offset his lunacy.

marc, LargeO,
I certainly don't want to be accused of defending Adams. I have said before that he is a jerk. He does take a bit of fact and morphs it into his truth and and for that I think he is a hack. My reasoning is that real journalists, don't need to stoop to purposely hurting someone in order to get attention.
However, the positive that comes from his "work" is that it creates discussion, which is never a negative.
LargeO, We found out about the radio trash talking because he knew it would make its way back to Knoxville, probably with his help. I don't like what he did either. He is a unmitigated A-whole.

TJ, marc, LargeO, Volnbig, you all have elements of Adams pegged correctly. He is sucessfully doing his job when he has us talking about him.
He is getting the attention he wants by rattling our collective cages. He thrives on controversy.
We all know that there are infinite ways to slant any story. Adams way is to arouse us with inuendo and brash statements that contain some degree of truth.
As Ol Jack N. said, "Some of us just can't handle the truth". That holds true for Adams writing it, as well as us reading it.

Till he shows otherwise, he should be given all of our respect and support!
Make this a NO POLLUTION ZONE!

TommyJack: Happy to oblige.
Re: Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd. Bugs called Elmer a maroon whenever Elmer did or said something totally stupid.
Maroon: a fried or baked cocanut cookie (it has the same IQ as a doorknob, rock, iam4ua, mcbrim, Dupree, etc, etc.)

DA4BigOrange: You are more tunnel visioned than a one eyed mole!
You say that no one outside of Storrs and Knoxville cares about womens basketball. Look at the recent picture of the team at the White House.
The publicity and prestiege that this program brings to the University is immeasurable. The attention that comes to the University has a huge carryover to all facets of our great school. If you don't see the benefit of that within itself, then you should inform yourself by getting the opinion of the University Administration. They see the value of this program.
What a maroon!

The State of Tennessee should name a university after her, after all, she has taken a lot of other coaches to school in her time.

tngeoff: Knew what you were saying, was not pointing at you.
These shots at Ainge and the Clausen boys are uncalled for. They weren't the QBs to take us to the promised land, but they don't deserve to be slammed.
They were Vols and they gave us everything they had.
I know some of you are going to jump all over that last sentence so go to it.
I just don't slam kids who gave us their best, regardless of their numbers!
On Berry, McCoy, Foster, Crompton on watch lists
