As usual, WhitePineVol77 is right on target with his world-class analysis. Some of these comments are simply unprofessional. Everyone wants to win, but when we don't, the finger of guilt is always pointed (rightfully so) at leadership. I'm a retired military officer, and the same is true in the military for poor performing units. BOTTOM LINE: There are no poor outfits (think teams) just poor leaders (think coaches). When a military unit doesn't perform, it's amazing how a change in leadership turns things around. The same is true in sports, except that the coaches are paid much more than the military leaders, which ironic given the stakes. That is, in war, 2nd place is not good. William Tecumseh Sherman, during his march through Georgia, coined the phrase: "War is Hell". I agree, but let me add that losing one really sucks!!!

I agree with WhitePineVol77 100%! And, if he can't make the game, I'd certainly be willing to take his tickets off his hands!
Having been watching his track record for over 30 years now, I can honestly say that WhitePineVol77 is a world-class genius with a record of accuracy that's second to none. Take his advice, you will become wealthy!!

Yes, I graduated from UT back in 77, and even then a "home opener" meant the first home game of the season. Last time I checked the UAB game is scheduled for 1230 on 13 Sep 08 in Neyland Stadium. If there's a previous home game then I'm obviously missing something.
Thanks so much to vols73 for illuminating the fact that one of us is inaccurate. Makes me wonder who's actually posting things they know nothing about....

Everybody's talking about UCLA and Florida - and rightfully so. But, let's not forget that the home opener is UAB, and if we look past them we might not get past them.
