OK, I'll try a non-emotional instead of an "I want a divorce" hereconcerning the game. These are some observations:
#1 Crompton has physical skills, but I am very concerned about his mental approach to the game. As a freshman in both starts he had the same deer in the headlights looks as tonight. That could be coaching, and it could be how he's always going to be.
#2 Clawson looked freaked out and quite outta place. He's still been extremely successful everywhere and may take time to get comfy upstairs in the big time. Unfortunately that could mean too many losses.
#3 Crompton was not accurate many many times. Looks like bad footwork a lot. But the real problem is HE ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY DOES NOT FEEL DEFENSIVE PRESSURE. 90% of his pressures could easily have been handledby trotting right or left into the flat and buying 2-3 more seconds.
#4 UCLAs DTs beastied our little center and guards. Crompton stayset and threw off balance, rushed over the top or knocked down.
#5 Why was the running game abandoned in the entire 2nd half with a struggling QB? Just plain stupid.
#6 Had 6-7 plays been just minutely different, we win this in a blowout. 1. DeAngelo stays in bounds and takes the pic to the house. 2.Crompton throws the bomb to Briscoe 1yd outta bounds or it scores. 3. Daniel chokes the 34yarder. 1 kick was good, 2 kicks missed wide and 2 others were atrocius, that 1 for 5! 4. Foster goes L and lays another egg. If he goes right he walks in the end zone untouched! 5.Rogers lets a 50 yarder fall thru hands once again. 6. Ineligibles downfield missesd by refs. Instead of 2 and goal at 1 with :35, it's 1st and goal at 20+. Our safetywas stolen by the refs aand that would have been enough to win it w/o OT. Bottom line is we don't make these happen and UCLA did enough. That's the difference in winning v losing.
#7 Austin Rogers CANNOT catch. I love the kid, but he must go to the bottom of the receiver depth chart or the coaches really are idiots. How many games in a row does this take? 2 tonight hit both hands and he drops.

Who's Dwight Goodrich? The love child of Dwight Gooden and Dwayne Goodrich?

Clemson should thank God that 34-10 was the score. This was not a turnover or big play fest, with an opportunistic underdog. This was a buzzer to buzzer whipping on offense and defense. Kicking game has to go to Clemson with the 95 yarder. But then again, when you are kicked off to a dozen times in a game, you got a shot at 1.
That was downright scary.

Well folks there goes our recruiting rankings. GW did more to prop them up for the past few years than anyone I know. :-/
Wow. Go west young man!!!

I wonder if we could petition them for another year for Henderson and Haynesworth as well? Seems to be working pretty well lately.

I have an idea. Let's all climb the trees around the SEC offices and live there until Gerald Williams is freed. Eat, drink and sleep there.
Nobody's ever done that before I bet. :-D

Ok Mr. Hooker, my wife and I discussed it and we would like to go ahead and lock in at this rate. Can we sign the paperwork today?
Make those 2 losses to Wyoming & NIU too if you could please. :-D

Sounds like he's got our full support round here. :-D

KNS,
Please label articles from JA all the time. That way we can skip them and go on to things that we may be able to respect and deem trustworthy.
Thanks

#8 Our secondary looked great and lays serious wood. Berry & DM ... wow!
#9 Kevin Cooper lays serious wood.
#10 Hardesty should start ahead of Foster. He's explosive and can hold the ball.
#11 Did Rogan get yanked after the idiotic put fumble? Or hurt?
#12 Our DL did NOT pressure the QB near enough. Remember this OL has only 2 returning experienced players + injuries. We're in trouble here folks.
#13 Kickoff covs looked pretty good.
#14 The Mustang was stupid. Just like 01' GA. Almost exactly except Greene moved it a little faster. Both times we lose to inferior teams. I kept saying it to my buddy ... Put 7 guys attacking this QB and let the good secondary contain. I cannot believe they did this.
#15 Somebody replaced that high school QB with Bret Farve after halftime. That kid never did quit throwing right into x2 coverage. Never! They just bounced better in the 2nd half & and we brought the mighty Mustang.
#16 Vols made a lot of execution mistakes typical of a first game. Maybe more than acceptable.
#17 We played OT to tie. Didn't work.
#18 Why was the sideline reporter only on the UCLA side all night? Gosh, I cannot stand the government propaganda media.
#19 Dissapointing yes. But, overall not that bad for a Basketball School! :-O
