I think Adams is making a huge mistake saying UCLA "doesn't look like it can win" this game. The Bruins Defense was solid last year & with Chow & Neuheisel, both offensive guys, I expect them to be ready. Love the setting: Pasedena, the Rose Bowl, great California Weather. But this has ambush written all over it.

Pearl started choking when he put Prince at the point; and you could see the look of panic on his face. JP is a great athlete. But it was the wrong time. He wasn't prepared, his ball handling was poor and his passing was only martinally better. That team needs to learn the 12-15 foot jumper and take it. Can't believe how many times they tried to drive into nothing. Even while trailing in the first half I thought Tennessee looked like the better team. The Refs were awful They called ticky tack fouls on the Vols all night and allowed Louisville to pound our guys around the hoop. Thanks for a great season.

Hey yemmusdarb do your homework! Kemp was one of 6-players ineligible for the Outback because of grades. Hence the "disciplinary" issues. And with all the talent in the D-backfield I suspect the coaches told him he would be relegated to special teams. He saw the writing on the wall and bailed.

Didn't he have some disciplinary problems that forced this move?

Pearl almost cost Tennessee that game. Prince is an amazing talent, but he's no point guard. His ball handling is atrocious & I don't think his decision making was very good either. Better get it together for Pitino & Louisville. Another performance like that one is going to get us run out of the gym. Go Vols.

Thanks Tom. Nobody can paint the picture of a legend like a Southern Sportswriter. Thanks for the memories Pistol Pete.

After watching JP Prince now for almost two months I've come to the conclusion: He's too inconsistent to be a key player. Prince makes these dazzling drives to the hoop; but never finishes. He's a liability at the free throw line. He's quick on defense, but not strong enough to compete against many SEC players. I'd rather have Josh Tabb in a pinch. Coach Pearl needs to take a hard look at the rotation. Nice win today.

Recruiting is fun stuff to follow; BUT...It's a CRAP SHOOT!!!! Remember that Big running back we got out of Georgia about 5-years ago; he was the #1 player in the state and ended up doing nothing? Davis???? We'll be fine. Besides the last 2-classes are going to be doing the playing. GO vols!

I don't remember Gaines setting the world on fire. Willingham and Johnson also worry me. Vinson is too good to move back to offense. But Moreley is outstanding and, if nothing else, this is much needed depth. I'm tired of watching UT DB's chasing receivers down field!!!!!

Not surprising. People can't buy $10 jeans at WalMart; but the wealthy can donate millions to UT. Life is good when you own Oil & Energy stocks. That said: Maybe we should rethink raising those ticket prices????
