Nice to see a local kid make well, I've never been silent about the fact that it has been frustrating to see some of the area talent head elsewhere when there is a great institution in their backyard. I will give credit where credit is due on this one, nice job Vols, we can always use some of the "Big Uglies" and this kid is apparently a diamond in the rough. Look forward to seeing you in Orange the next 4 or 5 years young man, welcome home.

This is just the latest in a frustrating ring of guys who are in-state heading elsewhere. Barry and Patrick Turner, Tate, Harrison Smith, Carl Stewart, etc., all chose to go elsewhere instead of playing here for whatever reasons they may have had. But this is getting to just be pitiful. A supposed life-long UT fan has now turned us down, guess he'll fit in with a liar and cheater like Charlie Weis(who was a long time member of Bill Belicheat's staff). Stay the course and let's keep letting the best in-state talent walk, we can always go into Florida and Texas and get their best talent, right(hopefully the sarcasm is noted about the FL and TX thing).

Nice, Mr. Bailey, we need more guys like you badly. Winning is an attitude, and we need a big dose of nastiness.

We got off to a fast start beating Texas and looking pretty good only to falter late in the season, but all in all, this season has been a success. We were picked to be one of if not the worst team in the entire SEC and we battled until the next to last weekend to make the tournament something that no "experts" thought would remotely happen. This team was inconsistent and I worried at times that they look like they weren't given 100% effort, but I think given time Raleigh will do a good job here. He had a very young team with most of the key parts being frosh or sophs, but with guys like Kentrall Davis in the OF, we will get better.

God Bless this young man. Forget the pure toughness, to go through what he went through is incredible. Thanks for 4 great years, Chris, and the absolute best of luck in life.

DeMarcus Knight is a talented young man, who stepped up big time last season when Richard Montes went down. He has a nose for the ball and a motor that doesn't stop ala Ryan Karl, but with more athleticism. This kid will be very good for Ole Miss, and I'm sad to see a local kid(Born and raised in Morristown myself) get ignored yet again by UT.
Volboy, the kid you are referring to is Blake Garretson, who let off-the-field issues ruin what could have been a productive career. He is now serving in the armed forces and has cleared those issues up.

I thought Mickey Dearstone made an appropriate comment last night when he said that apparently the ladies had yet to leave the hotel for the arena. This has been the one consistent thing about the ladies all season, that they don't seem to bring that consistent intensity night-in and night-out. I kept watching thinking, okay I know you beat the Irish pretty soundly earlier this year, but it's time to turn it on because you're letting a good team hang around. All in all, I'm proud of the Lady Vols for battling during what was apparently one of those off nights, and I hope this game gets them pointed back in the right direction. Good luck against A & M ladies. Keep making Vol fans proud.

Hold your head up high, J.P., you and the rest of the team did a fantastic job this season. Sure, the ending was a little bittersweet but Big Orange Country is very proud of you and we look forward to your talents gracing us on the floor for the next couple of years.

On paper, I really like this hire. Clawson seems to be hailed as a man of great character and I think his offense will bring a breath of fresh air to the program. My only concern about the guy is adjusting to the level of recruiting that a D-I school like UT must do. I'm guessing that he'll rely heavily on Drayton to help him since he does have big time recruiting experience.

Glad to see some new teams on the schedule. It's always great when we get to see some different teams. Cool.
