The NBA sure could use someone of Chris' character. Not only is he a great player who has proven that he can overcome seemingly insurmountable adversity, he has plenty of talent and common sense. He could be a great ambassador for the NBA, and would certainly be a welcome change to all the thugs they have playing now. Keep fightin', man. The Vol Nation is behind you.

A BIG congratulations to Coach Summitt and the Lady Vols for an AWESOME season and National Championship!!! The whole program is class, from top to bottom. You listen to the players and coaches in their interviews, and they are polished and professional, which is more than you can say for MOST college sports. Not many programs can pack 18,000 to 20,000 into an arena consistently to watch a WOMEN'S basketball game. That's the way it's done in the Big Orange Nation, because the program is top-notch. To Stanford, sorry. To UConn, eat your heart out. To Rutgers, the game in TBA didn't matter-the Lady Vols would've taken you to the shed anywhere, anytime. To all other women's basketball teams, work hard and honest, and maybe one day you'll be as good as our Lady Vols. To the Senator from New Jersey, do your people a favor and quit your day job. To Mempiss, who's got the NC now, baby? To Hamilton, give Summitt a raise and retire Candace's jersey. To Coach Summitt and the players, assistants and trainers, "THANKS" just doesn't do it justice. You are the epitome of class and teamwork. We love you and are so proud of you. To ESPN, Billy Packer, and the rest of the media, PLEASE continue to pick against the Volunteers and, in the meantime, screw off. Goodnight and Amen from the hills of Carolina.

Go to bed, Memphis. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Homeroom will come early in the morning. Go to bed.

Somewhere, at this very moment, John Adams is conspiring with that douche-bag legislator from New Jersey to draft a lengthy deposition for testimony in front of Congress, the US Supreme Court, the UN, and whoever else has an available appointment, regarding UT's blatant, covert conspiracy to knock Rutgers out of the NCAA tournament early. The bulk of the blame goes, of course, to Fulmer, and thereafter will be distributed evenly among UConn's coach, the clock man, and Al Quaeda. More information as it becomes available in tomorrow's news-packed edition of the KNS.

Why is this even in this newspaper? Teabag will win ANY award that he remotely qualifies for. It's a given. He's the golden boy for ESPN, UF, NAACP, UNCF, NRA, and I guess now the KNS, because they do a story on him every time we turn around.

Home cooking, boys. Home cooking. Hard to win when it's 5 on 8. I realize the Vols are not hitting free throws, but even the announcers on CBS are questioning the contact on UT players that isn't called. Somewhere, Dean Smith is smiling.

It's Coach Fulmer's fault. If he had not gotten involved, Adams would have Evans all to himself...

Sad thing to have happen. Regardless of where guys play their college ball, they deserve to have a long, healthy life. Our prayers go out to the family of this young man.

Adams was down in Columbia today in a high-level meeting with Carolina's AD. They were burning the midnight oil, at last report, creating a huge flowchart illustrating Fulmer's crucial involvement in this young man's running afoul of the law.

Richt is a class coach, and I'm glad he took some of his players on a mission trip. The trip that Teabag took was just for show, and we don't need any more of that. What Richt did was pure class. I don't know of any other SEC coach, other than Bobby Johnson or Croom, who has their act together as much as Richt. I mean, Spurrier can't POSSIBLY put together a mission trip- all his players are wearing ankle monitors. I have and will pull for UGA unless they are playing the Vols, and wish them a very satisfying 2nd place East finish again in 2008.
