JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Tony McDaniel, a University of Tennessee product, agreed to a contract extension Wednesday, the team’s third player to get a new deal in the past week.
McDaniel, a 6-foot-7, 310-pound backup entering his third season, is expected to play a more significant role this fall with the departure of Marcus Stroud and Grady Jackson.
McDaniel has 25 tackles and a sack the last two years. He missed the final 12 games last season after suffering a wrist injury.

Nice to read about former D-tackles.......
Any new ones of this quality on the horizon? Answer still appears to be no.

TDTN - that's funny, but you'd be alright as long as it's not a pickup bball game!!

This guy should have been kicked off the team. Instead Foolmore gives him a 2 game suspension. Luckily he went to the NFL so we didn't have to live with his embarassment any longer than we did.

pretty funny how people turn things. my read on it was that he was tired of being hacked. The kid hacked him anyway, got hit.
Back in the 'men's day' you took your lumps for being a jerk. Nowadays, what I refer to as 'women's days', men have no honor and are not allowed to stand for themselves.

I saw an article on the WSJ website about the inverse ratio of capitalization to debt. I wonder how quickly you losers could find a way to bash Coach Fulmer in that unrelated article.

working, you are entitled to your opinion, but all I can say is I'm glad I don't personally know you, you seem so self-righteous and condemning.

mparker that's great that you don't me. The Tony McDaniel video is disguting. He was tired of being fouled in a basketball pickup game in TREC? Imagine that? So McDaniel decided he could completely blindside some guy (who wasn't doing the fouling) who wasn't looking take a few steps hit the guy as hard as could? He should have been kicked off the team and is lucky he didn't serve jail time. I am glad you were able to dismiss that action as someone taking a lump. But hey he's Vol so that's all that matters. You must be proud.

BigOrangeJeff - as I see it when you say "losers" it means plural right? There's only one comment above that says anything about Fulmer and it came from workin' surprise surprise! So why didn't you just address him? I do agree with workin on his last comment though! Most of us would've spent a little time in the pokey for assault and battery!!

Funny how everyone on this site wants big, mean sons a bi#$@%s for DT, but then want Fulmer fired when one hauls off and decks somebody.
Being one who played and an intramural team that was banned because of a fight, I understand how easy it is for fights to break out. Most of you know Church Leagues are usually the worst.
Glad Tony was able to put that incident behind him, and hopefully, he learned from it. Wish him the best, along with the guy that had to have his face reconstructed.

dfreeman - 10:04, I was referring to the losers on here that use any and all articles on GVX as a launching point for a Fulmer tirade. Every topic, every subject, every piece gets twisted into a "Fire Fulmer" rant.
I was not making a statement as to McDaniel's guilt or innocence. I wasn't there. I did not witness the incident nor the events that led up to it. Not being psychic, I cannot pass judgment on the young man based on a five-second You Tube video.

too bad as Foolmore said, McDaniel looked like Tarzan and played like Jane.

I know this much, if I was a skinny 30 year old student I would find something else to do other than playing Basketball with a bunch of Football players!! That is just asking for trouble!!

whatever you say, working, as I'm sure you REALLY know the story. You were there, right?
Prety much I'm saying who the hell are you to sit in judgement on anyone??

So you have to be somewhere and be an eyewitness to know what happened and to comment on it?
"pretty funny how people turn things. my read on it was that he was tired of being hacked. The kid hacked him anyway, got hit."
***So since this is your "read" on it you can comment on it without being there? Or do you hold yourself to the same standard as you are holding me to having to have been there to witness the incident? Oh, I get it, you can not be there and have a "read" on it/make jusdgment but I can't make a judgement because I wasn't there. LOL!!!!!!
Pretty much you are getting your panties in a was because I think what McDaniel was embarassing and Coach Foolmore's subsequent 2 game suspension was a joke.
