Tennessee catcher Yan Gomes and outfielder Kentrail Davis were named to the All-SEC second team announced Tuesday morning. Davis and designated hitter P.J. Polk made the All-Freshman team.
Teams were decided by a vote of the SEC's 12 coaches.

WOW....3 (2 of which are freshmen) guys get all-conference and that's it? We should have finished in 1st place with all this talent stockpiled on the team.

Yes, we have 3 guys who made all-conference. Two freshmen as you mentioned, and 1 sophomore. The next couple of years will be better. Too many moronic fans who believe that a team gets better instantly after getting a new coach. (With a few exceptions: Pearl and the b-ball team.) Congrats to those three and I look forward to watching the next few years.

Like I've said before, regardless of their record, Kentrail Davis is worth the price of admission. We all better get out and see him while he's here. It'll make watching him on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN that much more fun in a few years.
