Tennessee’s Kaden Hensel, ranked 35th, will face San Diego’s Thomas Liversage, ranked 51st, in the first round of the NCAA individual tennis tournament Wednesday at Tulsa, Okla.
Vol J.P. Smith, 24th, will meet Texas’ Kellen Damico, ranked 41st.
Smith and Hensel will start doubles play Thursday against Ohio State’s Drew Eberly and Justin Kronauge.
Lady Vols: Lady Vol Caitlin Whoriskey, ranked 41st, opens play in the NCAA individual championships Wednesday against North Carolina’s Sanaz Marand, ninth.
Whoriskey and Zsofia Zubor will play Southern Cal’s Amanda Fink and Gabriela Niculescu on Thursday in doubles.
