DALLAS - Aaron Garcia threw nine touchdown passes, leading the New York Dragons to a 77-63 upset victory over the Dallas Desperados on Friday night in the opening round of the Arena Football League playoffs.
Garcia was 28-of-39 for 330 yards for the Dragons (9-8), who advanced to face top-seeded Philadelphia (13-3) next Saturday.
Terry Moss had 11 catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns, and Kevin Swayne had eight receptions for 77 yards and four scores.
Clint Dolezel finished 35-of-47 for 325 yards and seven touchdowns for Dallas (12-5).
Will Pettis had 12 catches for 89 yards and three touchdowns, and added a rushing score, while Anthony Armstrong caught 10 passes for 100 yards and two scores.
Former University of Tennessee star Marcus Nash had seven catches for 77 yards and no touchdowns for Dallas.
