Kentucky's Brooks undecided on QB

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky coach Rich Brooks says he’s still not sure whether Mike Hartline or Curtis Pulley will be under center for the Wildcats when they open the season at rival Louisville on Aug. 31.

Brooks said Thursday during the annual Governor’s Cup luncheon in Lexington that both players will get equal time with the first team when training camp begins next month. Brooks praised the play of both quarterbacks during spring drills, and said he has no timetable for naming a starter.

Louisville is set at quarterback with Hunter Cantwell, but coach Steve Kragthorpe says there are still plenty of holes to fill, namely at wide receiver and linebacker. Louisville lost its entire starting linebacking unit after last season.

Camp begins for both schools on Aug. 5.

"Louisville is set at quarterback with Hunter Cantwell, but coach Steve Kragthorpe says there are still plenty of holes to fill, namely at wide receiver and"... every position on defense!

They talk about losing that linebacking corps like it was a bad thing. If I was in Kragthorp's shoes, I might just have blindfolded everybody on last year's starting defense and drove them a few hundred miles away from campus to drop them off. Man did they stink!

Man I thought Pulley graduated, obviously he is eligible but it seems as if he's been at UK forever. Kinda like Casey Clausen was at UT

Pulley played as a Freshman and Sophomore and was redshirted last year. He should have two years left.

Too bad clausen doesn't have another year of eligibility left.
