WOW!!!!!!
If you don't act on these tickets today you will have to wait 10 minutes before kickoff to buy them for $5! Hurry, this may be your last opportunity to pay full price for meaningless opponents!

50 bucks for Alabama-Birmingham ... what a complete joke.
Now some guy donating $10 grand will tell me I shouldn't come on this site or be a vol fan or I should stay at home yada yada yada.
Pay up boyz.

VOLstuckINky, it makes me no difference who the opponent is......to me, it's worth $50 to watch my beloved Vols run the "T" and play ANYBODY. I'll tell you why they charge $50.00 for UAB....because people will pay it!

What a bunch of unhappy campers...oops sorry tnFaninms you be happy because you won the first post sweepstakes! YooHoo! Sorry silunt_antiFulmer we can't play Southern Cal level opponents everytime sir. Cream puffs in a great arena and atmosphere with Big Orange fans! What more could you ask for except $25 tickets? Yeah I think that $50 is high for small level opponents but it is still a great experience. Just think $50 divided by 3hrs is only $13/hour. What other things do you throw money at that are more than that? Oh well....GO VOLS!!!

rbut5252 - 12:30 kickoff and $50 tickets and students paying for the first time...
if we beat UCLA Neyland will be 95% full at the best.
if we lose to UCLA Neyland will be between 85 and 90% full tops.

Let's use logic from the perspective of one of Foolmer's Fools: "You know, if we lose to Florida, Auburn and Georgia but beat Ala-B'ham, Northern Illinois, Wyoming and Kentucky.....hey....that's a 4-3 record! That's a winning record!! Phil would be on another winning season roll!!! Maybe Hamilton will extend his contract and give him another raise because with winning records like this we are liable to lose him to a Division III team. Please rush out and buy up these tickets for these powerhouse opponents and keep 'The Good Ole' Boys' in power.

Vol4gzus, $50.00 divided by 3 hours is just under $17.00/hour. Just thought I would point that out.

Chief prognosticator(SP) will you tell me if it is going to rain tomorrow? You are so confident in your understanding of our fan base that we are fortunate to have you. Yes I'm kidding sir. First home game or not a solid turnout will be there to support our VOLS! Don't like the coach(obvious in your case...... medically speaking of course) doesn't matter. Young men wearing the Orange & White for my alma mater will get my support even when I can't be there. GO VOLS!!!

if you are willing to pay 50 bucks to see UAB at 11:30 AM, then by all means .. enjoy yourself.
But before you leave the house at 8 AM, remember to donate to the athletics dept, pay your kid's tuition, buy the 2nd edition books, buy the forced to buy dorm meal plan they don't use, pay 20 - 40 bucks to park, then pay the increase in water coke chages, etc.

WereInTrouble,
If we were in trouble, does that mean everything is OK now? Just tyring to ascertain the metamorphisis of your posting name.
Tailgating starts 0900
Game Starts 1230
Game Over 1500
Tailgating Ends 1700.
8 Hours and I know I will get a seat for $20, so my cost will be $2.50 per hour on ticket price. Badgenomics at work, not sure of my total cost because food, hooch, petro and possible bail money not factored into cost.

Was planning on a trip for an away game this year. It was gonna be Auburn cause I've never been to Auburn and I hear it is an AWESOME place to watch a game. Not to mention their golf down there. After reading this, I think I could stay home and attend all these games for 50 bucks a Pop. No, after thinking about it, I'll save my money for the FOOTBALL/GOLF trip to Auburn-Opelika.

Daddy,
Play the Robert Trent Jones course in Opelika, very nice track. Auburn is a good road trip, the fans were OK from what I remember back in 2004.

Badges, that's where I'm gonna play, actually we are staying at the Marriot Golf Resort that is built in the middle of 54 holes designed by Trent Jones Jr. Also going to Birmingham in Aug. and staying at Marriot in B-ham and playing trent jones jr. course. Played Trent jones Sr. course at Myrtle Beach, but never Jr., looking forward to it!!

Easy math lesson was not a bargain was it. I had $40 ticket on mind when commenting on $50 math. OOPS and thank you for the correction. I receive it humbly sir.
Wereyouintrubble, if my poor memory serves me well they didn't say they they would be happy with that. Yes ,they mentioned something similar, but then I'm sp..typing to the resident guru of posting so what do I know. Go take a nap maybe when you wake you won/t be so grumpy as usual.
Again look at your post historically(I hope you don't have a bad case of self-worsip that bad)and the overwhelming % is constantly negative/sad/rude/abusive/etc. One has to wonder if you are ever happy. I almost figure if Coach Fulmer was gone that the Leopard would not be able to change his spots. In other words, you still would be unhappy. For the life of me I don't know how you survive in such a bleak existence. Here goes...Have a nice day! You are not my enemy, just someone I need to pray for who can true peace and joy. Farewell cruel posting world for a little bit.

Vol4gzus, you had a good point, $16 and some change/hr. is not a bad bargain. I'm still gonna keep it to Fla.Bama,Miss.St., and at Auburn. The rest of my money will be saved for post season, if we have one. I'll be the 1st to say that I did not expect SECCG last year, and did not have the money to go. IF we make it this year, my $$ will already be in the bank. Plus these weak games will give me a few weekends to get to Nashville and cheer on those Titans, ALWAYS gotta catch a couple of those games a year. UAB for $50 or Titans for WHATEVER it costs? I'll take Titans anyday.

wow, what happened to the good ole' Vols4jesus? Did he get banned or did he clone himself?

-I went to 3 NFL Giants' games last season (a.k.a. - The Current Super Bowl Champs, thank you very much!), and paid about $90 per ticket, face value, and that was to sit in the upper deck. Hopefully that will quiet the people down who are complaining about $50 UT tix (and for the record, I am a UT alum). So, not only do UT tickets cost about half as much as a Giants' ticket, but you also get a much better atomsphere than at the pro level.
Posted by Silent_Fulmer on July 21, 2008 at 3:56 p.m. (Suggest removal)
So, the Giants still got to charge more last season than than Tennessee...so, we have it good to pay $50 a ticket vs. meaningless teams?
Posted by WorkinLikeHeck on July 21, 2008 at 4:01 p.m. (Suggest removal)
I love Hams is quick to put the blame on the opponent's not taking up their alottment of tickets. Hams, you are the one that scheduled these teams, right? I guess when we were winning championships in the late 90s Dickey didn't have to excuse away why the tickets weren't being taken up and that was when Neyland seated more than it does now. These games should be interesting to see with the combination of students paying for tickets and 4 visitors not taking up their allotment.

i wouldn't pay $io to see a pro game. there is nothing like the college atmosphere on gameday. but fill Neyland with luxury boxes and take average Joe out of the game and you might as well be sittin in a cow pasture somewhere eatin moonpies

Silent_Fulmer - If you are a true UT fan like I am, and do not live in the Knoxville area anymore, I would gladly pay $50 to see UT play any team, be it a lesser opponent like N. Ill. or a big rival such as Florida.
Posted by RichRollin on July 21, 2008 at 4:21 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Robvols, you find me tickets for the Florida game for 50 bucks and I will pay you $75-$100. I'm not expecting decent seats for under $200 and will gladly buy mine and my wife one. Longtimefan, I have to disagree. I went to the Air McNair's first game back in Nashville and it was pretty intense. Was at the Music City Miracle and it was pretty INTENSE. Compare an apple to a watermelon and you do the same when you compare college and pro Football. I like the college seen better, but would not pass up my DOUBLESHOT CROWNROYAL that I can sit and drink at a Titans game. Plus Nashville is a GREAT, GREAT football city.

RobVol, Florida and Alabama will cost you $70 this year, face value.
DaddyVol, we have decent season tickets and have already been offered many hundreds for the Florida Tickets. Best Wishes on getting anything for $200, and that will probaboly be the top of the Upper Level.

nah. Did not get banned...simple memory lapse so recreated with minor variation. So glad you cared enuff to notice. Hopefully a type of clone(representation) of King Jesus, just not perfected til he comes back 4 His own. So yep I'm a work in progress. Ya'll come back ya hear?

DaddyVol, thats the wiskey talkin! never been to a Titans game, but i hear it is a lot of fun! never the less, bands, fans and tradition and the excitment of sec football outweigh blaring music on loudspeakers and dull nfl football! respectfully
Posted by Silent_Fulmer on July 21, 2008 at 5:06 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Sorry robvols - but as a capitalist I am only willing to pay what the market bears. And if I were going to any of these games it would be $10 with 10 minutes to kickoff.

Longtimefan, The tailgating and the amenities of a a NFL game are way better than the Vols games. Good in-stadium restraunts and LIQUOR!!!! Really, the tailgaiting is awesome at titans game because they have about 10 parking lot's and everyone tailgates with whoever!! Problem is that if you leave and walk 2 blocks north or east of Titans stadium you better have an Uzi with a bunch of clips, really rough in that area. Atleast when you leave a Vols game you can walk around and be relatively safe, and it's one big party on campus. I like Vol games better, but I'm diehard Titan as well. I guess until you experience it you can't fully understand how things are in Pro towns. We really are comparing apples and oranges.

LadyVolsx8, you catch my drift though, don't you? Ain't no Fla. tiks for 50 bucks or even $70. I may pay more than $200, just picked that # earlier to prove my point. WILLPAYTHEPRICE for Fla. and Bammer, and not lose a lick off sleep.

DaddyVol, I married a guy 28 years ago that has always bought Season tickets, other than some bedroom activity they cost me nothing, lol.
But yes I understand you. I'll buy all teh $50 Florida or Bama tickets anyone wants to get off.

Ladyvol, season tix are the smart way. I may have to snatch some up in the next year or 2. My crazy job has not allowed me to make all the games the last few years, but that is about to change along with my profession!! Plus my 8 year old son wants to go more and more, and I've got a newbornwho will be on the same path. Lil' fella doesn't know that daddy is putting orange food coloring in his similac already!! HAHA. Season tix will be on the AGENDA!!

If you will wait until actual gameday, you will get the tickets for free....the ticket owners won't want to use them!
