Vanderbilt RB arrested for disorderly conduct
NASHVILLE — Vanderbilt running back Jermaine Doster was arrested early Friday morning following an incident at a night club in his hometown of Tampa, Fla.
According to jail records, the 20-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and obstructing an officer without violence, all misdemeanors.
Nashville newspaper The Tennessean reports Doster was escorted out of The Honey-Pot Bar by Tampa police and asked to leave. He was arrested when he failed to cooperate, and then he kicked out one of the windows in the back of the squad car.
Doster was released on $1,250 bond later Friday morning.
He is the younger brother of the former Commodore running back Kwane Doster, who was shot to death in Tampa in December 2004 while he was back home for Christmas.

Is this a first for Vandy?

I think Cutler beat up a phone booth or something when he was a freshman. A DL a few years ago got into a fight at a bowling alley as well.

New jerseys and arrests. Vandy has made the choice to join big time football!

Vandy incidents probably don't make the news as much b/c no one cares.
I think some Vandy player got shot in a campus elevator a few years ago also, although getting shot kind of falls into a different category than getting in trouble with the law.

He was waving his arms and yelling. It's a brutal crime that shall not be tolerated anywhere.

Leave him in jail until he pays for the window.

Fulmer's fault again.
Yes, it's tiring, but Tuscaloosa John needs a constant reminder of his asinine journalism skills.

FYI, His brother was SEC Freshman of the Year in 02 or 04 for Vandy as a tailback.
Shot in the same section of Tampa and killed post Freshman of the Year performance.
Once again, I pin both of these events (as well as all of the other off the field issues at EVERY SEC School) directly on Coach Fulmer.

Vandy is now recruiting sling blades?

Very sad about his brother. I hope he does get another chance at Vandy. If he can just tough it out and get that degree doors will open up for him that he never thought possible. He needs to stay over there on West End and stay the heck out of Tampa!
I never read that infamous Adams article blaming everything on Fulmer. Did he really try to pin every school's legal and accademic problems on Fulmer? How the heck did he even try to justify that?

Ashley-
A can't follow the youtube link, but I'm guessing that it's the King Tut skit. Am I right? I hope I'm right 'cause that'd be really funny.

This was not one of the private school Williamson County/Brentwood Commodores.
Man, as RJvol said, give them new polka dot uni's
and they start acting like, well, pursurers of the Cup.
The Cup is, however way out of reach for the Black, White, Fushia and Gold.
And the Orange, too.

Maybe this kid was really unable to handle the inherant pressures of big time college football wardrobe malfunctions!

Maybe the Vandy should give the Tampa PD officers a look at linebacker.
