Good luck to you JaJuan. You will be missed on the Vol roster this year.

Good luck JuJuan. Regardless of whether you catch on in the NBA or succeed in a different career, thanks for giving your all for Tennessee.

Mike: It might have been nice had you told us who the other 14 free agents were. Good luck JuJuan!

It's nice to see a new season has started. SUMMAR!!!!!!!
Is it in rememberence of Ramar?
Come on Griff get it together, or just get out a dictionary. Do you have too much work going on with Hook out of town?

Yeah, couldn't help but notice the misspelling of summer by the headline saying "summar"!
I could see JaJuan Smith playing for Dallas. He's their type of player. I'd love to see him make the roster.

Come on JaJuan baby lock up one of those spots so I can say that I played against an NBA player in highschool.

Summer roster filler players can at least catch on with other teams if they show talent. My guess is that he may play in the NBA development league for further seasoning. Good luck, JaJuan! (unless, of course, you are playing against the Spurs.) SAVol

Kosmo - How badly did JaJuan spank you in highschool?

General_Watermelon it was funny cause it was a tournament in Georgia and he wasn't even playing hard the first half. Our coach kept warning us that he could do anything. I think he had like 8 points in the first half. The second half he dropped 27 on us and a nasty dunk on our point guard who tried to defend a break away, to this day i'm not sure what he was thinking jumping with JaJuan.

A qoute out of Dallas was that JaJuan was highly considered for their 2nd round pick. http://www.nba.com/mavericks/news/Sum...

Good luck Juannie! I hope I can get out there to a summer league game since they are being held in my city. Just keep working hard and playing with a chip on your shoulder and I think you'll be on the roster by the end of the summer league. We will truely miss your leadership and intensity this comming year.

Kosmo - I can only imagine. I played soon after Elston Turner played for Austin East. Thank God I didn't have to play against him. The first time I got to see him play, he was in a regional tournament against Holston. He scored 13 points in the 1st Qtr and had not missed a shot. They went on to win the state championship. Coach Mears missed that one. He was not too happy that Tennessee didn't offer him a scholly and he went to Ole Miss and torched us for 30 plus 2 times. He also played in the NBA.

"JaJuan Smith: “JaJuan is just a freakish scorer that can put the ball in the basket. Every team in the NBA is looking for that. He was a very high consideration for us with our draft pick.”
NBA missed this one in my opinion. I still think he ends up on a team and proves a lot of people wrong. The guy is to quick and talented to not make it.
