</title><link>http://govolsxtra.com/news/2008/may/07/sc-names-new-womens-basketball-coach-and-its-not-u/</link><description>Holly Warlick drove to work Wednesday, following the same routine she has for the past 23 years as a member of the Tennessee women’s basketball coaching staff.
“My car’s on autopilot,’’ she said jokingly.
So is the driver. Warlick will stay that way after South Carolina chose Temple coach Dawn Staley to fill the head-coaching opening for which Warlick interviewed twice.
All in all, Warlick is fine with the status quo.

</title><link>http://govolsxtra.com/news/2008/may/06/staley-south-carolina-talks-heating/</link><description>Temple coach Dawn Staley is emerging as the front-runner to fill the women’s basketball head coaching vacancy at South Carolina.
Sources in Philadelphia said talks have heated up between Staley and the Gamecocks. Staley, a three-time Olympic gold medalist and former All-American point guard at Virginia, interviewed in Columbia, S.C., last week. She has been Temple’s head coach for eight years, leading the Owls to the NCAA tournament six times.
Tennessee associate head coach Holly Warlick has interviewed twice for the South Carolina job, which became available when Susan Walvius resigned under pressure last month. Warlick went to Columbia last Friday and toured the facilities.

UT filed more than 30 pages of documents with the SEC office during a five-month period in 2006. Everything from newspaper articles and photos to Internet chatroom e-mails were submitted in alleging a pattern of violations. The New Sentinel obtained the information Friday after making a request through the Tennessee Public Records Law.
